Andıl [Arm: Andul, Antoul] consists of a monastic fortified estate house, a rectangular building near the village (possibly the scriptorium), and the remains of a medieval civilian settlement, all of Armenian construction with finely drafted ashlar masonry.  In 1238 Andıl may have functioned as a summer retreat for King Hetʽum I and his family.  This site stands on an isolated peak in the Taurus Mts. between Vahga and Cilicia Pedias and is approximately 45 km north of Sis.
