Canbazlı is an unfortified late antique / Byzantine town which has the substantial remains of a pagan necropolis, several cisterns, and three churches.  One church, the three-aisled 6th c. Basilica, has preserved the south colonnade of the nave with its Corinthian capitals and the delicate arcade in the upper-level gallery.  The discovery of two hoards of 13th c. Armenian coins indicates that the site was occupied in the medieval period.  It is located approximately 18 km northwest of Korykos on a road connecting Diocaesarea / Olba to Silifke.
