Bolaman / Boloman [Grk: Polemōnion] is a small harbor fortress, almost a keep-like complex, with an attached cruciform chapel, both of Byzantine construction.  Today it is covered by an Ottoman-period wooden house.  This site guarded the coastal road between Ünye and Trabzon.
