Bolaman / Boloman [Grk: Polemōnion] is a small harbor fortress, almost a keep-like complex,
with an attached cruciform chapel, both of Byzantine construction. Today it is covered by an Ottoman-period
wooden house. This site guarded the
coastal road between Ünye and Trabzon.
Ref: Pontos, pp. 187-189, 240-241; Byzantine, pp. 114-115.
No
plan was executed.
