Andoz is a
late Byzantine garrison fortress atop a steep outcrop defended by two baileys
and four distinctive round towers.
Andoz, which is directly above a navigable river, has inter-visibility
with the coastal sites of Çam Burnu and Tirebolu and guarded a road from
Şebinkarahisar to the Black Sea.
