Pillar of Jonah [Arab: Sakaltoutan; Itl: La Portella] is a watchtower and toll station, probably of antique construction with periods of Byzantine, Armenian, and Crusader occupation.  It guarded the strategic north-south highway connecting Cilicia Pedias to Antioch and Syria via the Belen Pass.
