Savranda / Savuran [Arab: Isfandakār, Sirfandakār or Sarwandkār; Arm: Sarvandikʽar; Frank: Savranda] is an important baronial castle with two baileys and a chapel, primarily of Armenian construction, with lesser contributions by several Byzantine and Crusader builders.  Below the fortress was once a substantial medieval settlement.  This site guarded the strategic pass at the Amanian Gate in the Anti-Taurus Mts. and two access roads into the Cilicia Pedias.
